Joseph S. Haag, Age 80 of Troutville, PA died Sunday, May 30, 2021 at his home.

 

Born on March 18, 1941 in Luthersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Seymor and Suzie (Swartzlander) Haag.

 

On June 17, 1961 he married his wife of 59 years, Linda L. (Knarr) Haag.  She preceded him in death on September 7, 2020.

 

Joe was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves having served with the 629th Transportation Unit.

 

He retired from P&N Coal Company as a mechanic after 32 years of service.

 

Joe is survived by his children; (Brian S. Haag & his wife Jacqueline and Terry J. Haag both of Troutville, PA), his five brothers; John, Fred “James”, Albert, Andy and Ted Haag, two sisters; Renie Jones and Kathy Diltz, 3 grandchildren; (Keith Haag & his wife Gina, Steven Haag & his wife Kayla and Jamie Mennetti & her husband Jeremy) and 6 great grandchildren; (Beau & Nolan and Kole and Kobie, Knox and Taylor Haag).

 

He was preceded in death by 1 son Timmy A. Haag and one brother Charles Haag.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 4PM -8PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 8PM from the funeral home with Pastor Barry Fillman officiating.

The service will honor both Joe and his wife Linda who passed away in 2020.

 

Burial will take place in Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.
