Administrators Pompeii Posted June 8, 2021 Administrators Share Posted June 8, 2021 Girda M. “Jean” Yezzi, age 101, (formerly of Sykesville, PA and Erie, PA) died Sunday, June 6, 2021 at StoryPoint Assisted Living in Hamilton, OH. Born on June 15, 1919 in Sykesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank Patt and Mary Tiano. On July 7, 1947, she married Michael J. Yezzi at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Sykesville, PA. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2007. Jean had worked on the assembly line and in packaging for 40 years at Erie Technological Products in Erie, PA. She was a member of Maximillion Kolbe Catholic Church in West Chester, OH. Jean is survived by her children (Kathleen Kobielski (Gary) of Hamilton, OH and Michael Yezzi, Jr. (Jack Hopkins) of San Francisco, CA), one brother (James Patt, Cannonsburg, PA) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 8 siblings (Ann Bonavita, Amelia Patti, Vina Masiak, Albert, Tony, Nuncie and Sam Patt & June Weber). Visitation will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM from the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church with Father Bill Barron as celebrant. Burial will take place at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
