Administrators Pompeii Posted August 2, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 2, 2021 John T. “J.T.” Salsgiver, Jr., age 65 of Willoughby, OH died Friday, July 30, 2021 at University Hospitals Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby, OH. Born on April 3, 1956 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late John T. and Sara Belle (Salada) Salsgiver, Sr. He was a graduate of DuBois Area High School and went on to earn both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Penn State University. J.T. was an avid Penn State Football fan. J.T. worked in information technology for 10 years at University Hospitals Lake West Medical Center, previous to that, he worked for Quaker State as an accountant, for IBM in business administration and KeyCorp Bank in the information technology department. He had been affiliated with the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. J.T. is survived by two sisters; (Letitia A. Ramsey of DuBois, PA and Louise Pearce and her husband David, Sr. of Falls Creek, PA), his nieces and nephews; (Sarah Ramsey, David Pearce, Jr., Alexis Ramsey, Marissa Pearce and Jacob Ramsey), and seven great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law (Paul E. Ramsey). Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Richard Berkey officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Heart Center at Penn Highlands, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
