William O. Swatsworth, age 86 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

 

Born on August 20, 1935 in Clearfield, PA, he was the son of the late John S. and Mary E. (Shugarts) Swatsworth.

 

On July 2, 1965, he married Sandra J. “Sally” (Cairns) Swatsworth. She survives.

 

Bill was a veteran of the United States Army.

 

He retired from Triangle Auto Springs after 34 years of service.

 

Bill along with his wife Sally, was the founder of Caring and Sharing for Kids. He was a well-known musician in the area playing many country and gospel music events. Above all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

 

Bill is survived by one son (William J. Swatsworth and his wife Cynthia), one grandson (William J. Swatswoth, Jr. and his wife Casey), one granddaughter (Jaden Swatsworth) all of DuBois, PA and two sisters (Linda Gretsinger of Butler, PA and Mary A. Morgan of Rockton, PA).

 

He was preceded in death by one sister (Bette Bainbridge).

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 10 AM – 11 AM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

 

A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 11 AM with Pastor Rick Howe and Pastor Zac Wilcox co-officiating.

 

Burial will take place in Rockton Cemetery.

 

Memorial donations may be made to Caring and Sharing for Kids, 149 Baker Road, DuBois, PA 15801.
