Administrators Pompeii Posted January 16, 2022 Administrators Share Posted January 16, 2022 Paul V. Staniszewski, Age 79 of Troutville, PA died Friday, January 14, 2022 at his home. Born on March 27, 1942 in Canonsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent and Matilda (Habe) Staniszewski. He was a graduate of California of Pennsylvania State Teachers College. Paul retired as a director of the special education program in Wayne New Jersey after 50 years of service. During his tenure he was invited to Washington D.C. to serve on the President's Council for Hiring the Handicap and did so for several years. Paul was a man who found beauty in nature both large or small; from a butterfly to an elk, from a flower to a mountain. Locally, he is best remembered for his photography, especially of the elk. He was the author of several articles in the Watershed Journal. He loved gardening, flowers, and cats. Paul is survived by his life companion Aldeen Lanzoni, with whom he made his home. They were together for 56 years. He is also survived by his three nephews (Richard, Edward, & Paul Lanzoni, all of DuBois, PA). There will be no public visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made to the Eldred World War II Museum, P.O. Box 273, Eldred, PA 16731, and/or the Gateway Humane Society, P.O. Box 678, Falls Creek, PA 15840, and/or the Watershed Bookstore, 194 Main St., Brookville, PA 15825.
