Thomas L. Wineberg, age 74 of DuBois, PA died Monday, January 24, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital with his family by his side.


Born on September 22, 1947 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Harvey and Leanore (Curry) Wineberg.


Tom was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War.


He retired from Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital as a therapist in the Adolescence Behavioral Unit after many years of service.


Tom was a member James J. Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he was known as “Gray Squirrel.” He enjoyed fishing, attending his grandson’s soccer games, and loved to walk his dog Halo. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DuBois where he was active in church affairs. Tom spent his life in service to others.


He is survived by his two sons (Jeremy and Aaron Winberg both of DuBois, PA), three grandchildren (Braeden, Ethan & Lexus Wineberg), and one brother (Terry Wineberg & his wife Mindy of White Deer, PA).


There will be no public visitation.


A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the First United Methodist Church in DuBois with Pastor John Emigh officiating.


Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the church.


Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 100 West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.


The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
