Administrators Pompeii Posted June 30, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 30, 2022 Richard J. “Dick” Lanzoni, age 83 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at McKinley Health Center in Brookville, PA. Born on May 16, 1939 in Brockway, PA, he was the son of the late Aldo and Esther (Zambanini) Lanzoni. On June 4, 1994, he married Carol (Allegretto) Lanzoni. She survives. Dick was a veteran of the United States Army. Dick had a 40-year career in the automotive service business. He had worked for Central Volkswagen, Johnson Motors, and Kelly Chrysler. Dick was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Force. He was an avid fly fisherman, was a coach for many years in the DuBois Little League, and had played accordion in the Four Crowns Band. He is survived by three sons (Richard A. Lanzoni and his wife Michele, Edward V. Lanzoni and his wife Beth and Paul K. Lanzoni and his wife Colleen, all of DuBois, PA), stepson (Michael Allegretto and his wife Cindy of Wilcox, PA), 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a sister (Aldeen Lanzoni of Troutville, PA). He was preceded in death by one daughter (Pamela Ann Lanzoni) There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Force with Fr. Mark Mastrian as celebrant. Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the Bennetts Valley American Legion Honor Guard from the church. Burial will follow in Lakelawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Tri County Animal Rescue Center, 9652 Rt. 322, Shippenville, PA 16254. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
