Mary “Maggie” Cooper, age 81 of Brockway, PA died Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

 

Born on November 12, 1940 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Barry) Gallagher.

 

On November 9, 1963 she married William L. Cooper. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2010.

 

Mary was a homemaker.

 

She was a graduate of St. Catherine High School and a member of St. Tobias Roman Catholic Church.

Mary was well known for her strong faith and being a prayer warrior. She loved her farm and tending to her horses Stormy and Mindy. Above all, she loved her family, especially her girls, Lisa and Christin.

 

Mary will be remembered as a kind and gentle person with a warm smile that could brighten your day.

She was always helping others trying to make the world a better place. She will be missed by all.

 

Mary is survived by one daughter (Lisa Cooper and her fiancé Chuck Dietz of DuBois, PA), one granddaughter (Christin Green and her husband Ray of Macomb, OK) and one brother (Joseph Gallagher and his wife Kay of Douglassville, PA).

 

She was preceded in death by one brother Patrick Gallagher.

 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2- 4 and 6 - 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 10 AM from St. Tobias Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Charles Kaza as celebrant.

 

Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
