Administrators Pompeii Posted February 8, 2023 Administrators Share Posted February 8, 2023 Joseph Becker, known by most as “Dad,” “Papa,” or “Joe,” passed away on January 24th, 2023 in his Rochester, New York home. He was 76 years old. Papa served in the United States Army for two years during Vietnam, where he repaired communication systems. He spent 25 years at Xerox from 1981-2006. As a father and grandfather, Papa was funny, stubborn, and he loved to tease, but most importantly, he was loving and caring. He is survived by his children: Danielle R. DeLong, Joseph B. Becker (Kristen), and Stephanie A. Everett (Reggie); his sisters Joan G. Becker and Iona R. Snyder (Arnold); thirteen grandchildren; one great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Blake I. Becker and Rosella M. Becker, brother Blake I. Becker Jr., sisters Margaret M. Kobik and Judith E. Becker. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 10 – 11 AM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Harold Hills officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the funeral home. Burial will take place in Beechwoods Cemetery.
