Richard “Blaine” Hockman, age 62 of DuBois, PA died Saturday, February 25, 2023 at his home.

 

Born on May 14, 1960 in DuBois, PA he was the son of the late Richard M. Hockman and Carole (Loughman) Hockman. His mother survives and lives in DuBois.

 

On May 26, 2012 he married his wife Vickie L. (Troupe) Hockman. She survives.

 

Blaine worked for 27 years at Brockway Pressed Metals as an electrician in the maintenance department.

 

He was a member of the Brockway Handgunners and the National Rifle Association. He was a self-employed pyrotechnician and also worked for Zambelli International Fireworks. He was proud of the fact that he set off the fireworks for the Brockway Old Fashioned 4th of July for 17 years. Blaine was also known as being the “Chuck Buster” having “taken care of” over 700 groundhogs in his day. He also participated in, and won several awards in shooting competitions, was an avid car enthusiast and Rolling Stones fan.

 

Blaine is also survived by one son Keif Richard Hockman, three stepsons; Douglas, Benjamin  and Zachary Means, and step grandchildren Benjamin Means, Jr. and Kaitlin Means, his aunt and uncle Susan and Bill Robb and their children.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10 – 11 AM at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc.

 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.

 

Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
