Status Quo: DuBois, PA Council

I think that some of us have now witnessed why some things went undetected in the previous administration of our fine city after seeing the backlash that some have suffered when they question why things happen, and how they happened in the past.

I hope the new people that are installed for the combination of DuBois and Sandy have backbones and are willing to stand for what is right.  Checks and balances.  No more "good guys" clubs.  No more carte blanche for the esteemed.  Let's make sure this area has every action be above reproach.

The problem is the council that was elected hasn't been much more transparent as the last as they promised.  There is still a lot of the same going on, just different axes to grind.  However, this council is being controlled like a puppet by a handful of citizens that have gotten their nose into things, one specifically that does not live within our zip code.

My biggest problem with the governmental bodies of EACH municipality is that it seems like they each vote on what THEY feel is best, not what the citizens feel is best. And isn’t that what elected officials are supposed to do? Put their own feelings aside and work for the citizens that elected them? Idk to me that’s what I think is supposed to happen. There’s a lot happening in this area that I’m pretty sure the citizens want no part of.. maybe I’m wrong idk.. but that’s how I see things in this area.. and it’s been that way for decades. It all needs to change

What is it that the citizens feel is best for the area?

At the Sandy Township meeting last night only three citizens were in attendance.

I think people think this is finished so they're not attending meetings to hope for changes.  Not so!!!!    I always said DuBois was just going to swallow Sandy in one gulp and then do as they please.  We need leaders, not uneducated and uncooperative self-seekers.  Leadership is learned and earned, not granted.

Interesting. That one would not have a Brockway address by any chance? Just curious.
