It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David J. "Davey" Aiello, 91, of Treasure Lake, PA. David passed peacefully on Sunday morning, January 12, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois after a brief illness.

Born on March 23, 1933, in Johnsonburg, PA, David was the son of the late Gennaro and Frances (Chirillo) Aiello. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sylvia M. Benigni, of Ridgway, PA. David and Sylvia were united in marriage on July 11, 1959.

David's life was defined by his commitment to family, community, and faith. A resident of Ridgway for most of his life before retiring to Treasure Lake, David was an accomplished entrepreneur, a trusted mentor, and a generous friend to many. His love for his family was boundless, and he took immense pride in their achievements, especially those of his seven grandchildren, whom he adored.

Known for his kind heart, sharp wit, and selfless nature, David touched countless lives through his acts of kindness and service. He was a devout Catholic and a faithful member of St. Leo Magnus in Ridgway and St. Catherine of Siena in DuBois. He also honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.

David is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia; his three devoted children: Beth (Fran) Aiello-Goldbach of DuBois, PA; Miki (Rick) Aiello-Imhof of Ridgway, PA; and Mark (Natalie) Aiello of Ridgway, PA; and to seven treasured grandchildren: Michael Imhof of Pittsburgh, PA; Dave Imhof of Ridgway, PA; Alexandra Goldbach of Pittsburgh, PA; Dominick Goldbach and fiancée Lindsay of Pittsburgh, PA; and Marcus, Mia, and Maddox Aiello of Ridgway, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Joseph John Aiello; his seven brothers: Victor, Joseph, Arthur, Donald, Ernest, Robert, and John Aiello; and three sisters: Mary Caribardi, Eva Caribardi, and Sister John Francis.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church in DuBois, PA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of David's favorite charity. Donations can be made online at www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.

David J. Aiello will be remembered for his unwavering love, faith, and generosity. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, especially his family, who called him "Papa".
