Administrators Pompeii Posted March 13 Administrators Share Posted March 13 Mary Jane Rusonis, age 94 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor. Born on August 14, 1930 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Martha (Mehok) DePello. On September 26, 1953 she married Anthony G. Rusonis. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2011. Mary Jane was a homemaker. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in DuBois where she sang in the church choir and was very active in church affairs. Mary Jane was also a member of the Legion of Mary and sang in the Community Christian Choir for many years. She was a gifted seamstress who enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Mary Jane is survived by her children (David Rusonis of New Castle, PA, Joseph Rusonis and his wife, Joy of York, PA, Susanne Pernesky and her husband, Jeffery of Falls Creek, PA and Janet Spearly of State College, PA), seven grandchildren (Andrew, Tony, Michael, Carrie, Beth, Emily and Katie), and four great grandchildren (Chloe, Anthony, Lily and Hazel). She was preceded in death by her brother (Guy DePello, III), a son-in-law (Jeffrey Spearly), and one grandson (David J. Spearly). Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 2 – 4 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10 AM from Holy Spirit Parish at St. Bernard with Father John Malthaner as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
