Constitutionalist
You know… I really don’t understand why our area is the way that it is.. and all I can really come up with is that the ones in charge of our area really don’t want to see it flourish.. for the last 3 weeks I have been out of town.. staying in a town with a population very close to that of dubois/sandy township. Oh my oh my what a difference.. this place has a wide variety of things. Makes our area look like a dump.. abd this is actually something I’ve taken note of over the past couple years while traveling… our area really has nothing.. and with the interstate and major roadways coming through.. I can’t figure out why nothing survives here
Polo
This is just my 2 cents. But in my opinion, we need a Boscovs, a Chick Fil A, and a good Steak House. I enjoy going to TJMaxx but its always picked over and crowded due to DuBois not having any department stores. And now that Sarahs in Reynoldsville is closed, I'm really missing my Drive-in experience. It would be great if another one would open up in DuBois. I miss the days of Baileys, Pete's Frosty Freez, Dairy Treet and Rockdale Ranch. Too many coffee places and auto parts places in DuB. What are people thinking? Constitutionalist
I think we need a Dave and busters. And yes a good steak house… hoss’ doesn’t fit the bill on that one. lower the rent at the mall, get good businesses back in there. family oriented businesses. a Burlington would be awesome here! Constitutionalist
I remember as a kid having go karts to ride, mini golf, batting cages.. and those weren’t even nice compared to what other towns have. heck I just seen a mall in Kentucky that has been transformed into an indoor amusement park. In a town the size of dubois/sandy. so having attractions like that will draw people back to this area. Especially with the interstate near by! remember the days our mall was full, people came to Dubois to shop and spend money. Now we have junk. And people avoid spending time here. With a little incentive, our area could really be booming with all it has to offer just short distances away. Polo
Polo
You know, in all my above rantings, I forgot about Over The Top. I do love their pizza burgers and homemade potato chips with ranch! And they do have tons of flavors of hand dipped ice cream! And I just discovered a little gem in Brockway called Lane's End Dairy on Main Street. They have delicious home made Gelato and other dairy items for sale. It's a great experience.

Constitutionalist
No, the true problem with our area is that former leaders wouldn’t do anything that didn’t directly benefit them. BillyC
