Great!  Hubby wants to get a Scanner, but I'm not sure I want to put up with all that squawking and noises out of the blue. I like my house QUIET!!

Is Crime Radar an App that you download from Google Play or where?

I would pass on buying a scanner and try the apps. Police stations have mostly gone digital so a scanner won't pick much up. I spent $500 on one 4 years ago and not much on.

Do you have the proper frequencies? Where do you think the scanner apps get those feeds? Some one broadcasts it from their home scanner..

Would you happen to have a list of good frequencies. I have a 20 channel I get some fire and ambulance calls but that's about it.

this has clearfield county fire dispatch, fire grounds, and EMS. I don’t believe you can get police anymore as they have moved to a trunked system
