DS58 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Adam Schiff says let’s extend the ACA freebies for 1 year, open the government and then we can work on lowering the healthcare cost crisis. How stupid does he think we are, they ( congress) haven’t done kaka in the be past 20 years about the cost of anything. Now all the sudden once the freebies are extended (long term) we’ll fix it. What a turd 💩 Seadog 1
Seadog Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I am no fan of any Demonrat, though I agree corruption runs rampant on both sides. The ACA is like Congress; hopelessly broken. It always has been. When all is said and done, much more is said than done. DS58 1

I have typically been opposed to universal/government run healthcare, but as I grow older and approach Medicare age, it is looking better and better. The for-profit healthcare system is a sham. It is built to benefit shareholders, large healthcare companies, and highly paid executives, among others. It does nothing to improve patient care, improve access, or decrease cost. Billions are simply ripped from the pockets of citizens, workers and patients and transferred to the few.
Petee Posted November 30 Posted November 30 The percentage of what used to be the profit went to the limited number of leaders who worked with the needs of the hospital. Now, all of that and more has to be diverted to those who just stand and bicker about how to reduce costs while charging more through so there is more profit for the top brass. Result, lessening quality, more waste versus efficiency and less quality. It's all financial wheeling and dealing for profit.
DS58 Posted December 1 Author Posted December 1 Family is involved in the “ healthcare “ industry. It has nothing to do with patient outcomes but industrialized medicine (how much profit is available and how can they get the most out of the insurance companies). Please God, let me get hit by a bus and bypass the hospital and go directly to Baronicks et.al.
Illiterate Posted December 1 Posted December 1 I had an interesting, but brief, conversation with a woman seated at my table. I listened to her complain about the high costs of healthcare. At some point, she switched to talking about her son and daughter-in-law building a multimillion dollar home. She said the were healthcare providers. I asked if they were physicians. She responded they were not, they were pharmaceutical representatives and added they made a very good living, making more than most doctors. I responded with along the lines of 'dont you think that adds to the high cost of healthcare when drug salesmen are rakin in the cash pushing drugs patients care barely afford, if at all?' She got up and left the table. Yeah, kind of a jerk thing to say. But, comes down to the the idea of as long as they are also getting their piece of the pie, the high cost is acceptable.
Seadog Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Isn't it sinking in yet? The ACA, Obamacare, whatever name you call it-It was designed to fail, not to be sustainable. What the goal has always been is socialized medicine. They still clamor for it, it's just the way that you get the people to accept it is to make anything else unaffordable to the working class. Julian Assange stated that when all is exposed, 98% of Washington DC will fall. Please God, I pray that 98% of Washington DC falls! fedup 1

Many are against socialized medicine, but will happily accept Medicare when the time arrives. Executed properly, the concept of ACA could work. Obama stupidy selected a controversial cause: BCPs. Had he selected diabetes, for example. Government paid medications, testing, office vists. If you don't have it yourself, you probably know a relative or friend that does. Generally speaking, diabetes is not a lifestyle choice. Meds can be expensive and complications can be severe. Maybe hypertesion. Maybe cancer treatment. Diseases that are often unavoidable. Diseases that affect people regardless of age, income, or political and religious beliefs. Tough to argue against.
fedup Posted December 6 Posted December 6 It was a flop full of lies when they started talking about it. It became a bigger lying flop when they printed the thousands pages of rules and today it stands as the biggest lying flop the libs ever invented. Basset3 1
