Seadog Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 I admit that lately I have been frustrated by what I call the 'Lack of Will To Work'. I got a refreshing surprise on Saturday, December 27th when I took my wife to Dairy Queen. The young lady working there was on by herself unexpectedly for some reason. I watched her literally run, multi-task, take care of everyone efficiently, and most of all, with a smile and kindness. She apologized for taking a bit with our order (which wasn't long at all in reality). Kudos also to her maintenance man who stepped in, took the order and figured out the cash register, just to be nice. It did my heart good to know there are still, good, hard-working people, that care about what they do! SgtRick417, Polo and Bon 2 1

Petee Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 She will know true satisfaction from doing her job well and efficiently. That's a better feeling than getting a paycheck! Well, almost! Polo, Seadog and Bon 3
Polo Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 While we are reflecting on the people who do such a good job in serving customers, I also wanted to relate what happened today, but it was on the customer side. I had to call Verizon today to ask some questions. Our business has to make some changes to our cell phone network soon and I needed some information. I spoke to a foreign woman with a heavy accent who was very helpful and was very accommodating. She answered my questions and even was able to give me a discount as we have been with Verizon a number of years. Before we hung up, she said my call was the first one of the day that was a good experience, and that her other calls so far were very difficult and she had to deal with a lot of irate customers. She was so thankful for a pleasant call, finally. It made me think of the times I have been somewhat short and irritated and how I probably made the customer service person feel. 99% of the time, it is not that person's, waitress', or technician's fault anyhow. Makes me want to try harder to be more kind when dealing with folks who serve us. We are all just out here trying to make a living, and its much more enjoyable if we are pleasant to one another. Petee Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 That's exactly what Jesus said we are to do. Positive anything grows and multiplies, negative destroys and diminishes. Smile even when it hurts! Seadog and Polo 2
Polo Posted January 9 Posted January 9 It's not just Dairy Queen that has a Super Star. I was in a local Dr. Office on Wednesday and I have to say that everyone I dealt with there was super friendly and professional. There were a lot of smiles and kindness. There were about 5 different people I interacted with there and all were great. A lot of times you don't see that. It was a very busy fast moving place and each person was very efficient and had a great attitude. Needless to say, going to the doctor's is hard enough, but when you are treated so nicely, it makes things so much more pleasant.
