I would like to know how we went from $52 per quarter to $30 per month for garbage. Because the city was cracking down on the slum lords they let do whatever they want. It was to make sure they or the renters were paying for garbage. If they can't handle their rentals why should I have to pay for this? If they got the slum lords to finally pay why is it we have to suffer from their short commings? They've almost doubled the price of ours to pay for the unspervised.

I have neighbors who use other services.  I live in what used to be the township.  The city needs to lower the control of stuff like this.  Everyone needs trash collection but I know people who have nothing and never have yet you see no garbage around their houses.  They have a good workable system for their garbage.  What is the city going to do about it?  Make things worse by creating a situation?  Provide for a way for those who have none to get something by a specific date?  Let everyone know that they have to be part of something, not necessarily just what the city decrees?  Use some work hours to create a system where everyone is registered and can choose which service they want, not just Waste Management?  Use their discernment for a change instead of just mandating!  If they want the citizens to feel like part of a group, then let a committee work something equitable out.  Not everyone has money to just use the most expensive company.  Make a way for them to work this out.  Cut out the amount that the trash haulers pay to the city.  It smells.

Advance disposal is contracted. Everyone must use them. Get ready. Your freedoms are gone in choosing

We've used Advance Disposal for years. We've paid for garbage disposal for decades.

Those in the township who had city water were already paying for it.  So what are they going to do beside just change the billing company on the bill.  What about those in the township/city who own their own water lines?

still cheaper than mine. I pay $117.01 per quarter using Waste Management formerly Advanced disposal. I have just been to lazy to call Wolf's. I forget about it and then get the bill and say damn I should call them. I then just end up paying the bill. Wolfs goes down my road also to other neighbors. I may just call them but most likely will just get the bill and pay it.

Were you in Sandy or DuBois? If you were getting billed quarterly I'm thinking you are in the old Sandy Township.

I just paid $22.00 the Senior Refuse/Recycle for January in the City.

I never knew there was a Senior rate….how do you find out about this? We live in the old Sandy Township…we may as well hold on tight as everything is going up!

Better yet is the fact Waste Management charges $1100 for 30yd dumpster if you can get them to deliver them while Hugill is only $900 and you call and its delivered most times that day!

I'm in the city, we used to pay for our garbage seperate from water and sewer. City took it on themselves to combine it with water bill to get the slum-lords or their renters who were skiping out on paying garbage. It was supposed to be to everyones benefit! Went from $52 per quarter a few years ago to $30 per month thru them. Wonder who's actually making out on this deal?

In Huston Twp we have Burgmeier’s out of Bellwood now since the beginning of the year. 61.20 every 3 months for seniors, 74.16 reg customers.

Here's a good one! Last month water bill 192 for 5000 gallons. This month 217 for 4000 gallons. WTF is going on. Last year we were ok now we can't even pay our employees?

People just staying above water now won't be able to take this throat punch! Seriously, garbage from 52 per quarter to 30 per month because of our slum-lord problem. then the added 35/ month on top. This is almost as bad as living in New York without out all the free stuff promissed!

DuBois, got bill late and they expect it paid on time!

Take the bill and the envelope to the city building.  You should not have to pay a late fee on a bill that was not received by you on time.  I'll bet you're not alone on that either.

They stated in the meeting last night that the due date was being waived off this month.

Nice they let us know. I just paid online and had a $6.40 fee added to payment cause I used a credit / debit card. Bill went from $159 for 4000 gallons to $217 for 4000 gallons. If you work days through the week and can't get there before they close your screwed!

Keep up the good work!
