That would mainly be Faith’s #1 nurse during the day & mama after 4pm….. Brandi!! Daddy gets home @ 5. Grandma (Emma as Faith pronounces it 😍🥰) comes when called or just drops in, Papa drops in after 3, usually when told to. Other than that, we see Faith when asked to babysit, which is so so hard to do. 🙅‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️💆‍♀️ She is such a wild child!! 😁😋

We can’t wait till this is over & hope Faith will start to gain weight again!! She was scheduled for July 11th, but her Dr said that was too long to wait. He decided to come in on his first day of vacation just for Faith Marie to get that “Acorn” out of her kidney!! How awesome is that!! I hope, if he is married, that his family will understand. This is great news considering the kidney stone was 8mm last year & now it’s bigger then an acorn. No one can pass one that size, even at 8mm you are talking pain, real painful.

We all got awesome news yesterday!! Brandi, Faith & Aunt Estelle went to CHOP yesterday, this was due to a dr visit Brandi & I took Faith to in Erie last Wednesday. The urology dr there said Faith needed to get that kidney stone out & didn’t understand why CHP why dragging their feet. We both told her that that the urology dept wouldn’t even see Faith & made all kinds of excuses as to why she is getting UTI’s. She called CHP herself, came back & said I know 2 dr’s at CHOP. Let me talk to them, then you call Monday to set up the appointment. Tuesday Brandi found out they were going Thursday. Deryk’s aunt has been to Philly before & said she would take them (thank you Estelle ❤️)!! They did an ultrasound on Faith, the kidney stone grew another 2mm since Easter Day. It is 19mm now. 😡(thank you CHP) The good news is as soon as Brandi sends them her last heart Dr notes, they will schedule surgery!! She could be having surgery as soon as next week!! Our prayers have been answered!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Well, she made another trip Thursday afternoon & they got home around 10:30 that night. She has pneumonia in her left lung lower lobe. They also found a bladder stone. She was a happy girl Friday morning, first time in awhile!! 😊

She spent 13 days in CHP & just got home on Monday. She was a very very sick little girl. Faith Marie had a few things going on all at the same time. She ended up getting a GJ tube. Her stomach is shot, it’s very irritated, and can only be used for medication. She is on a continuous feed now. She had to have a tube put in her intestines right outside the stomach, that’s where her formula goes 24/7. That kidney stone she has is causing her trouble, she had a major UTI even though she was on an antibiotic for it. It needs to come out, but she needs to be healthy for them to do surgery. While there, she ended up picking up a virus (cold) in the emergency department or observation room. She did not need this. This girl has proved over & over that there is Power In Prayer!! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Pa’s first avian influenza cases in 2023 detected in central Pa. poultry flocks Updated: Feb. 03, 2023, 9:32 a.m.| Published: Feb. 03, 2023, 8:17 a.m. Sue Gleiter | sgleiter@pennlive.com Cases of the highly contagious strain of avian influenza continue to affect poultry flocks in central Pennsylvania. The United States Department of Agriculture confirmed the disease was recently detected in two flocks in Lancaster County. About 32,800 birds were affected at a commercial duck facility and another 3,200 birds impacted at a second farm, according to USDA data.It marks the first cases in Pennsylvania in the new year. While the USDA doesn’t release the flock’s locations, Lancaster Farming reported the commercial duck facility is in Clay Township and the second flock from a facility in East Earl Township that raises ducks for live markets. Nationally, avian influenza has affected more than 58.2 million birds. Avian influenza is a disease caused by an infection with avian influenza Type A viruses. It is naturally spread by wild aquatic birds and can infect domestic poultry. The state’s first positive case in poultry was detected in the spring of 2022 at a farm in East Donegal Township, which is home to nearly 1,700 of Pennsylvania’s more than 10,300 poultry operations. The farm euthanized 1.4 million chickens in response to the detection. Despite the spread of the avian flu at poultry facilities, the state Department of Agriculture has said chicken and other poultry products remain safe to eat. The avian influenza is being blamed for rising egg prices, which are selling for about $5 a dozen at some stores. Pennsylvania is typically the fourth largest producer of eggs in the nation.

You can watch all of them this winter, anywhere you go, through the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s round-the-clock livestreams. A new 24-7 livestream from a black bear den in Pike County launched this week, bringing to four the number of livestreams the Game Commission plans to run into the spring of 2023. Also showing are the Farm Country Eagle Livestream, which provides a bird’s-eye view into a long-established nest in a giant sycamore overlooking scenic farmland, the ever-popular Hanover, Pa. Eagle Livestream and the agency’s Snow Goose Livestream capturing the migratory action at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area. This is the first time since 2021 the Game Commission is offering livestream viewers an up-close look inside a black bear den. Bears den each winter, but few of them in known spots where cameras can be installed and footage streamed to viewers. Luckily, the opportunity has presented itself again, and the Game Commission is proud to bring the livestream back, said the agency’s Information and Education Director Steve Smith. “While all of our wildlife livestreams are popular with viewers, there’s nothing like watching and listening to bear cubs as they begin to explore their surroundings and, ultimately, emerge from the den with their mothers to see their new world in Penn’s Woods,” Smith said. “We’re glad to bring back this livestream for 2023 and offer it alongside our annual wintertime wildlife cams, all of which entertain and educate viewers, and give them a whole new appreciation for wildlife.” The livestreams are a collaborative effort by the Game Commission, HDOnTap and Comcast Business. All of these livestreams can be viewed directly at HDOnTap.com or through www.pgc.pa.gov. Pennsylvania’s black bears usually are born in January and begin walking in about eight weeks. They leave the den when 3 months old. During the 2019 run of the black bear livestream, the bears left their den on April 11. In 2021, their departure date was March 24. Bald eagles typically lay eggs in mid-February and, if the eggs are viable, they’ll hatch in mid- to late March, with young fledging in June, but continuing to stop back at the nest. Snow goose migration typically peaks at Middle Creek from mid-February to March.
