  1. Since you have experience in the utility business, might you know what the alternative is when Concast fails to install a $6000 paid for installation in the 90 days they said it would take?

What about the 90 day installation question?

They may not even care about the money, their initial quote was something like $6000 so they felt they got a deal.  I think they simple NEED good communications because he the Heart Surgeon at Penn HIghlands and needs to be able to count on always getting the calls.  You have no idea of the methods they use to make sure he doesn't miss one.

Hooray!  I think you may have dropped a bug in the right ear!!  Here's her message this morning:

Strangely enough,  Duda cable is here to string the cable to the power poles!

I said I was told it would be Comcast and they said Comcast does not have enough linemen to meet the needs, so they subcontract with Duda.

The foreman said Comcast is supposed to do the inside connection within a week,  but one of the workers confided to me that they may do that as well b/c Comcast doesn't have enough workers!

They have to call to make the appointment to make sure someone is home.

You are indeed the wizard that I thought you are.  Thank you, I owe you big time!

There are both active Penelec and vacated Verizon poles going back her driveway.  The Penelec underground from the last pole to the house was already completed in December.  They are currently using satellite that she has to climb out onto the roof to clean when necessary.

I just spoke to Bonnie Kaushik about her internet installation and got some answers for you.

They paid Comcast $4200 last August for an installation within 90 days.  Duda competed the work he was supposed to do in December. Now they are waiting for a "relay to be strung" by Comcast.  Apparently that is the hold up.  She called and was told that they are "on the list" but was given no further info.  Their installation goes under 322, then onto already available poles because the underground route was much more expensive and partly goes through a swamp.

      Ideas?

Her house is off of the main road by about 2000 feet, I would guess.  It's the old Dr Bantly Farm, 1200 Beck Lane.  Her husband is a heart surgeon and they have gone to all kinds of extremes to keep in communication, now when they thought they had it licked, there's no action.

I think there's some kind of a responsibility problem because when the date got clower, the guy quit answering his phone and now won't return phone calls.  They're right across the road from the junky area on the way to Reynoldsville.  I figured you might know how to put on the pressure. She's in Boston right now so when she gets back, I'll pass along your suggestion.  Thank you.
