  1. How in the hell can you only get summary offenses for something like that?
  2. I think fleas develop resistance. I had to go to Advantage II for my cats.

  4. Thanks for posting the link Fadedgenes! Did everyone note that there isn't a lawn chair to be seen in the Labor Day Parade photos in DuBois?
  5. "One day, we will see our animals again in the eternity of Christ," Pope Francis recently told a boy grieving the loss of his dog. "Paradise is open to all of God's creatures."
  6. You can look at the Sanborn Fire Maps of DuBois online: http://collection1.libraries.psu.edu/cdm/search/collection/maps1/searchterm/DuBois!Sanborn%20Fire%20Insurance%20Maps/field/geogra!collec/mode/all!exact/conn/and!or/order/nosort
  7. There is also this: 1900 to 1922 "The hospital facilities of DuBois are exceptionally good. The DuBois Hospital has accommodations for 60 patients at on time, and the Maple Avenue Hospital can also accommodate 60 patients. Besides these two institutions there is a state tuberculosis dispensary, and a very efficient branch of the American Red Cross. http://www.duboishistoricalsociety.com/dubois-history-3.html
  8. I found this online but I haven't found a picture yet. 1897, DUBOIS GETS A HOSPITAL Doctor
  9. There doesn't appear to be a steeple on the church. In the early photos, the church's uptown all had steeples on the square towers.
  10. That appears to be a stream running just about the people and in front of the big house. I'm still checking out the people and what they're doing. In the original picture, to the left of the big house, there appears to be some sort of rectangular sign on a post. I could be wrong about that, but it sort of looks like it.
  11. Can you tell by looking at the real photo what is happening? This may be a clue to where it was taken. The people seem to be congregating in the middle. Note the people closest to the edge of the picture are probably wealthy. They have covered carriages and the women are dressed in nice hats. The people in the center all seem to be men and they're also very well dressed. There are individual horses standing there as well.
  12. Near the Best Western and Foradora Insurance. But after looking at it some more, that is not the Business College, It had many more dormers.
  13. I think that might be the meadow. Possibly the Business College.
  14. I never had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer, but I always enjoyed her posts, especially those about her lovely children. She was a beautiful lady and will be greatly missed.
  15. This just shows you the power that these global corporations have in this country. Why did it take WHO to tell us this? And what do you think our country will even do with this information?
  16. I've been trying to get up that way to use them for a couple years. They are supposed to even have a solar telescope.
  17. Let's do it then! I can lead us fearfully through the bottom tunnel and you can lead me screaming through the upper one!
  18. I've driven by there lots of times but never got out to investigate. I want to also get up that way to see the darkest park east of the Mississippi.
  19. In the lower tunnel? I didn't see a thing. The upper tunnel is the one that gave me the heebie-jeebies. The hair on the back of my neck was standing on end.
  20. Heck, it's easier getting down that hill than up it. Just sit on your backside and slide.
  21. I never knew about the seizures. Glad to hear she is back to her old self today!
  22. We ended up with a ruptured disc when he was 15. People thought we were nuts, but we opted for back surgery at Metzgers in State College. He lived a happy healthy life for 3 more years. Metzgers is an amazing place.
  23. Bon, how old is she? My weiner dog ended up with compressed discs in his back and had many of the same symptoms.
