People don't want to (nor should they) want to give money when there are so many issues going on. It is a damn shame. 

If I were a judge and this showed up in my court I would find in favor of the plaintiff and award them what their suit was worth…$ 1.65.   Done

then why are/should st game lands access roads be gated and locked? they open them up for deer and bear season but why gate and lock them at all.....to keep people out?....kinda sounds like private property to me???

I disagree.  A good way to increase land for hunting and recreation is to buy in groups. Everyone has a right to do so. You have much more buying power than one person alone.  Nothing has to be shady about it. I understand and respect their reasons.  They may hunt there but they also take their families there to camp.  There is no reason for constant, intrusive surveillance, especially in the off season. 
We bought land for private use by our family for hunting and recreation.  We camp there 10 months a year and hunt 2 months. It is scary to think that they can come in and start videotaping us and our children without us knowing.   We follow all hunting laws, I have no concern about that.  I do however value my privacy on my own private property. 
Example: you buy a hot tub and put it in your back yard in the country.  You have no neighbors.  You like to enjoy the hot tub naked.  The game commission decides to start doing video surveillance without you knowing and the area includes your hot tub.  Is this right?   Should this be allowed?

I agree with Lizard.    And unless they have a warrant and probable cause, they best stay off someone's property.  I think it is good to buy property to enjoy the outdoors.  I myself have done this.  Foreign countries have purchased large amounts of our land out west and elsewhere.  Best for Americans to buy as much of it up as we can to safe guard our freedoms.

The land being bought is all legal. If you want some go buy it!! There isn't anything stating the GC charged anyone with any crime, seems like they were being nosey. 

To all of you kind DuBoisians.  Rusty has been found!!  At dusk last night I returned to the location where I last saw him.  I encountered a gentleman walking by the road and told him my predicament.  He said, “There is a lady at the top of the hill with what looks like an orange & white Cocker Spaniel”.  I hot footed it to the top of the hill and there was Rusty in the back of her SUV playing with her children.  WOW!  Rusty is now in his home and none the worse.  Again, thank you all for your kind expressions and advice. Also it was asked tonight about the secretive Saturday morning meeting and it was about the United Way found money. Question was "why was Suplizio's attorney present at the meeting". Answer given was so confusing it makes your eyes glaze over listening to it. Also surprised to see former mayor Randy Schmidt there tonight with about 20 other firemen. They just sat in the audience and asked no questions or made any comments.

I have a nephew who says he is non-binary whatever the heck that means. I call him by his given name if I ever see him again unless he legally changes it.  It is not a dead name as the far left want to insist.
I also worked with a trans person(male who identified as female). Very nice person and I called him/her by the name they wanted. Which was a female name. No problem. She was a very hard worker and genuinely nice person but she did not preach or use pronouns etc and everyone accepted her as it should be. Now had she started preaching all this woke/left crap then it would have become one I am sure but that was not her goal or mindset. It is these Democrats in these far left cities that are the issue and they are ruining society for women, gays, etc.

I don't understand how this happens or how this is legal- to write a check to the United Way for a large amount as a charitable donation(according to previous article it was to avoid paying taxes) and then move it to a fund for a ball field.  
I never realized the United Way was for building ball fields. 
And now, they didn't know they had all this cash?  Add to the issue of the Fire company that didn't know they were missing a lot of money.
I really will think twice before giving to charity events in the future.

And there is my problem with this crooked idea. Contractors should not be paying those who hire them. It's supposed to be the other way around.  
And the contractor says "don't we hand you FREE MONEY every year"?    That loud boom you just heard is the door being kicked wide open for any kind of cheating.  Dubois appears to have been proving my point. 

The fact the grand jury didn't have Cherry testify, could mean something could be possibly be related to her.  I wouldn't be surprised if she's involved as well.   

Sorry to say, but the only way to clean up is to scrub out the Mayor , Solicitor,  CITY Auditors,and the Council (everybody)and try to put fresh people in. People need to step up.

Mayor Walsh isn't aware of any missing money.  Apparently over $600,000 missing wasn't enough for him to notice.

And yet he still is working?  That's a slap in the face to the citizens of DuBois.  How does the state go about taking over? 

Maybe a temporary state takeover of the City of DuBois is needed because it appears that there was a systematic failure by all in power.
