  1. Squirrels and chipmunks are the culprits at our house. We've been using the repellant spray. You have to spray it after every rain and it stinks until it dries. It's been working great for the deer and squirrels and so-so for the chipmunks. I'm pretty sure most critters like Lily bulbs. Maybe it'll work for the humans too.
  2. That one is a Columbine (Aquilegia). Pretty color!
  3. The last one looks like a scented geranium (pelargonium).

    She's adorable!!!
  5. We've made them out of leftover stuffing and topped them with turkey gravy. Yum.
  6. Me too. I didn't know her except on here, but she pops into my mind often.
  7. Could be Goutweed - another name is Ground Elder.
  8. Awesome! It's a pretty neat plant. I love mine.
  9. Could it be a Clove Currant? Mine looks a lot like your picture.
  10. So sad. Prayers for her family and her sweet children. Thanks jmbeck for letting us know. RIP Shmoopie.
  11. Poor little pup - I hope she's doing better!
  12. I'm sorry for your loss. Our fur babies are definitely part of the family. May your grief be lessened by the wonderful memories you have.
  13. So sorry to hear this. It's a hard decision to come to, but I agree it's for the best when they're suffering. Please know we're thinking of you and Chewy.
  14. Have you ever gotten on Pinterest? If you search for "clay paw prints" you can get some great ideas on keepsakes to honor your pets. I've done my cat's paw and it turned out really nice. You could do a paw and then add a fingerprint from each of the kids. The clay is about $2 and bakes quick. That way you could have something to remember him by and the kids could help with the process.
  15. I bet you are shocked. This is so sad - they're part of our families. Thanks for letting us know. Most of us don't know each other - but we still care. Give him a hug from all of us.
  16. I add quick cooking oats, milk, egg, cheddar cheese and Worcestershire sauce (we call it rooster) and then top it with a mix of ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Love it left over in a fried meatloaf sandwich.
  17. Such a beautiful dog. So sorry for your loss.
  18. What kind of tomatoes are best for picking and eating right out of the garden or for salads?
  19. Is it a wildflower? It could be Steeplebush - which is a wild Spiraea (tomentosa). But - it's hard to tell from a pic.
  20. I'm sorry for your loss. It's so hard because they become part of the family.
