You gotta be careful bringing in raw manure. You could end up with weeds you never imagined in your garden before. I speak from experience so good luck!

Got mine all in and everything is up and growing although my plants took a beating with the heavy wind and rain and I do have some washout areas. Not sure how things look after last nights deluge. I Have been enjoying green onions for a while and will harvest some lettuce in a few days! Looks like a couple dry days first of the week so good luck getting your planting done!

I've been enjoying some of the best radishes ever and of course onions and lettuce for several weeks. Everything else is looking good but cucumber plants could be doing better.

There are also Indian burial grounds above the lake. You can still see the mounds in the woods.

Keeping the Critters Away From the Garden
Bub replied to nails4u2c's topic in Go Gardening and Nature
I put a 2 foot rabbit fence around mine then a 5 foot plastic fence and so far so good this year but I have had deer jump the fence in the past and it does not take them long to destroy a lot of hard work -
Keeping the Critters Away From the Garden
Bub replied to nails4u2c's topic in Go Gardening and Nature
I've been brushing the dog the past few weeks and putting the hair around the edges of the garden and have not had anything bothering it since. I have watched the deer come within 20 feet but back off after getting a nosefull of dog. -
On the left there are three rows of potatoes then some peas more on the right side and further out at the other end are sunflowers and cukes and some corn on the right as well. Upper garden has the peppers and tomatoes etc
