  1. I'm not sure how far back it was that this happened with my mom, but I know the house was on Worth Street I can't remember what end.
  2. One of the houses in Reynoldsville that my mom use to live in as a little girl had weird occurrences. She said when they moved in they were told a man shot himself in the one room. There was apparently still blood all over so my grandmother cleaned it up as best as she could but the blood stains kept coming back. I think I was even told that fresh paint wouldn't cover it. She also told me about the time she woke up and walked downstairs to see a figure of a man in the room that looked as real and solid as could be. She walked over to it and went to touch it but it was just a cold mist that she could run her fingers through. The house is no longer there. I'm pretty sure everyone who lived there after that had also experienced something which may explain why they tore it down.
  3. I've been doing this for years and it actually DOESN'T make a mess. It also doesn't ruin your fabrics (which was my initial concern at first). It's way cheaper than a bottle of Fabreeze and lasts quite a while. I spray it through out the house once or twice a week.
  4. Peach Lemonade 4 cups water 2 cups coarsely chopped peaches 3/4 cup sugar 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons) 4 cups ice 1 peach, cut into 8 wedges Preparation: 1. Combine the first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 3 minutes. Place peach mixture in a blender; let stand for 20 minutes. Remove center piece of blender lid (to allow steam to escape); secure blender lid on blender. Place a clean towel over opening in blender lid. Blend until smooth. Pour into a large bowl. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. 2. Press peach mixture through a sieve over a bowl, reserving liquid; discard solids. Stir in lemon juice. Place 1/2 cup ice in each of 8 glasses. Pour about 2/3 cup lemonade into each glass; garnish each glass with 1 peach wedge.
  5. Pineapple Whip 2 20 ounce cans Dole crushed pineapple with juice 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons lime juice 1/3 cup sugar 1 and 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped Drain pineapple; reserve 2 tablespoons juice. Set aside. Place pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and reserved pineapple juice in blender or food processor container; cover and blend until smooth. Pour into two 1-quart freezer zipped bags and store bags flat in freezer. Freeze 1-1/2 hours or until slushy. Stir pineapple slush gently into whipped cream until slightly blended, in large bowl. Return to freezer until completely frozen, about 1 hour and serve.
  6. Frozen Butterbeer Ingredients: For the butterbeer: 1 1/2 cups cream soda 6 tablespoons butterscotch schnapps 2 cups ice For the foamy topping: 6 tablespoons heavy cream 1 tablespoon butterscotch schnapps Directions: Combine cream soda, schnapps and ice in a blender. Blend until slushy. Pour into a glass or mug. In a small bowl, combine heavy cream and schnapps. Using an electric mixer, whisk together until almost whipped. You want the cream mixture to be slightly loose, not as firm as whipped cream. Top the butterbeer with the foamy topping and serve immediately.
