  1. I shared this photo and name with my friend. She said that this could be the one!
  2. I apologize that I've mislead you; turns out it is some kind of woody or shrubby plant. Here's a picture of the leaves. I guess it's not blooming yet.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion. I sent your info to my friend; will let you know if this is the one. Happy Memorial Day.
  4. My friend was telling me about a plant in her garden that she can't ID. It shows up in a different place every year? She says it smells like melon and it's wonderful. Any ideas?
  5. I think that's it!! Thank you for your help.
  6. Came across this during a walk in the woods. Can anyone ID it?
  7. Take a minute to check your calendar. The dance is only a week away!!!
  8. We're holding our third Ballroom Dance event. This dance is again at Beechwoods Restaurant and Lounge We are happy to have John Alcorn back to offer a dance instruction. He will gear this instruction to the beginner in FoxTrot and Swing. If you've never danced or just want to brush up on your technique, this is your chance!!! John teaches at the YMCA in Brookville and his classes will start again the the fall. Please share this event with your friends and family. You might want to plan to come early and have dinner at the Beechwoods. They offered this special menu for us Beechwood's May 10th Specials: For reservation call 1-814-375-0663 by May 4th 8 oz. Marinated Sirloin with potato, vegetable, & salad - $12.99 Chicken Marsala with rice & salad - $8.99 Haddock Dinner with potato, vegetable, & salad - $8.99 (Haddock prepared Baked, Beer Battered, Cajun, Lemon-Pepper, or Au Gratin)
  9. Can't find my stuffing casserole recipe. Used torn up regular bread or kaiser rolls, had cream of mushroom, maybe cream of celery soup in it along with sauteed onions and celery, some kind of herbs. Does this ring any bells? I saw the stuffing recipe on here with eggs but I think that would make a tighter version of stuffing than I'd like. I tried the campbells soup website but all their recipes use packaged and pre-seasoned bread cubes. help is appreciated.
  10. I am in awe of the personal dedication and hard work of all those involved. Thank you
  11. Just a reminder that on November 9 you can take your main squeeze out and cut-a-rug!

  13. I'm going to empty/cleanout/demolish/refresh-til-next-year my 4 window boxes. Each one has a 'spike' plant. I get them every year and every autumn they end up becoming mulch (although I have cherished them all summer long, they have been loved). I'm not a big fan of house plants - just ask my Peace Lilly who is always gasping for water, poor thing :'( However, I believe these are a form of dracena and certainly could be a house plant if someone wanted to make them so. Any ideas, anyone want to give these plants a new home - plant them all together in one pot and start twisting/braiding their stems together - I think that they could grow to be quite tall over time. Just not in my house. So, this year, in the interest of recycling, I thought I'd ask if anyone wanted to volunteer to give them a new home.
  14. Thanks for the link, Tira. I passed it along to my vegetarian daughter. She doesn't use ANY animal-tested products or even products made from animals - gelatin, lanolin and such. She pays a dear price for the products she buys. I suggested that she might add a drop of a favorite essential oil as well.
