In the beginning of October, John Micks President of the Rumbarger Cemetery Preservation Society and the board members of the RCPS, gave a tour of Rumbarger Cemetery to several veterans in October 2016. Shown is the Soldiers Circle. Rumbarger has veterans from every war buried on Main Street. The board members place flags every year at all veterans graves in the cemetery. There is over 100 veterans buried in Rumbarger.
  2. 21 Gun Salute by the VFW Post 813 Honor Guard honoring James J Patterson on October 15, 2016
  3. On Saturday October 15th 2016, David Gralla and members from the VFW Post 813 Honor Guard, honored James J Patterson. Members from the Rumbarger Cemetery Preservation Society also attended to honor this fallen war hero. A wreath was placed at his grave.
  4. One of our many summer projects this year was just completed. The corner of Main Street and Grove Avenue is now landscaped.
  5. What could you possibly do with a 150 year-old cemetery that had been left go for years, neglected and overgrown ?   6. Our 10 newly planted flowering pink crabapple trees are blooming!
  7. Chrissy Anderson and her daughter Maddie volunteering at Rumbarger on Comcast Cares Day. Chrissy an employee of Comcast, was instrumental in helping with Rumbarger being chosen for Comcast Cares Day this past Saturday.

  9. The Childs Mausoleum received a mulch and landscaping refresher from volunteers Megan Baummer, Paul Baummer, Ashley Cherubini, Shawna Bassett, Brad McGinnis and Kathleen Byrd. They all volunteered their time this past Saturday on Comcast Cares Day.
  10. The finished enclosure that Beck Contracting volunteered to build for us on Comcast Cares Day.
