  1. State Farm needs to stick to insurance. Period. That's their business. It's not their place to get involved in other matters. I feel sorry for some of our local agents who may not agree, and would rather not get involved. It's probably a requirement that they offer the book or else suffer repercussions.
  2. Hope many give to this! Even if you don't purchase a sign, you can call the number and get the info so you can mail a check to help this sweet little angel! She is one of our own on here. I feel like I know her just from seeing her photos and news from her grandma.
  3. Oh, what a little doll! And look at her looking up at her proud father! Precious. I hope all goes well with her hearing now. She looks so healthy. I love chubby cheeks!
  4. How is this dear little one doing these days?
  5. There was also a company that manufactured outwear in there after BF Goodrich. I think they were responsible for the beautiful murals, but I can't remember their name. Anyone?
  6. Thanks for the update! She is sooooooo precious!
  7. Precious little thing. God's little gift to you all.
  8. Beautiful baby! A precious gift! Prayers for her and family.

There will be a concert performance by FLINTFACE, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and additional entertainment by Ohio Valley Teen Challenge, food and fun! The concert will take place in the Edward Cherry Amphiteatre, DuBois, PA. There will be a boxing seminar by Lee Dixon, former gold glove champion, for kids from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The goal is to raise funds for a local applicant to attend Teen Challenge, a faith based rehabilitation facility. The scholarship will allow someone in need from our area to receive addiction treatment. This is a great opportunity for the community to be proactive in the struggle we face with the addiction epidemic. The event is free, and food will be sold. Please come and support this goal and show you care! To learn more, go to the Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/events/281871462293047/?ti=as
  10. I think this would be some place I'd like to visit.
  11. When I was pregnant with my children, the nurse said to cook with a cast iron pan, because it would help supply some of the iron I needed.
  12. I Looked at the bug bite pics then I continued on to the skin cancer pics. Very enlightening.

    Your doggie is precious!
  14. I will miss you too, Schmoopie. You were one of my favorite go Dubois folks!
  15. That was remarkable! Thanks for posting!
  16. Very interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing more.
  17. Nowadays most of us girls wouldn't dream of venturing out with a few feet of snow on the road. Back in the 70s when my dad drove truck, my mom was home with us and if she needed groceries, she went to town. We had a big blue Buick Electra, and dad put chains on the tires in Winter. We lived on top of a hill on Arch Street Extension in Brockway. I can remember the snow being so high that there were just wheel wells in the road. We would get in the big Buick and mom would drive us to town. We had some pretty scary trips, but always made it--thanks to God, mom's nerves of steel, and a little hollering.
  18. We have a Chiweenie. Has most of the weenie characterics and chihuahua ears. We enjoy the heck out of her!
  19. That looks like it would be good, Mr. D!

    Help!

If I were you, I would use Frontline topical for on your animal. Walmart brands don't work nearly as well or as long. You can get this at the vet, Petco, or Tractor Supply. I get Frontline plus. Costs but works. Make sure you get the cat kind for cat and dog kind for dog! An animal can be harmed if not. I agree with the above folks who say to get the flea bomb. They work. Just make sure you leave the house, and follow the instructions. Don't leave the pets in there either while the bomb is going off.
  21. I'm going to try that mustard, ketchup, brown sugar sauce next time I make meatloaf.
  22. I have 3 female dogs, and there is always a little jealousy. Usually, it's my scrappy beagle that wins. The other two usually back down. The longer they are together, the easier it gets. When they first met, it was hard.
  23. I knew about running the utensils under hot water, but not about the checker board pattern. Great tip!
