What really makes me mad is that despite all the advancements they have made, they have lost some brilliant talent because of big pay cuts. Now folks are left without doctors and have to find alternate sources of care. That is not helping the doctor shortage! I thought the goal was to keep doctors, not drive them away!

Wow, great letter. I hope it gets results. If it doesn't, they need to provide a transport service from DuBois which picks up folks needing transport, and bring them in to DuBois for their appointments. The transport should be staffed with folks knowing how to care for the infirm and elderly.

The business made a post about this on Facebook. Trying to explain themselves. Said this girl was visiting her boyfriend, and was only in the restaurant 20 min., then decided to help with dishes. Sounds pretty fishy. I won't mention the name, but they also have a business in St. Marys too. Someone I know who has ties to law enforcement felt the same, and feels she was definitely a victim of human trafficking.

I got my info from WJAC Channel 6 on line. The court document is there in PDF form if you want to check. Read pages 54 and 55, which is "Incident with Mayor Randy Schmidt." You will see that the Police Chief is not mentioned until the second time Mr. Suplizio contacted Ms. Potter, the Loss Prevention Person for Sheetz. And the "mention" was later in the call when Mr. Suplizio wasn't getting anywhere. What does that say to you?

How can you guys be so sure the Chief was in on pressuring the Sheetz Manager to drop the charges? The way I read the report that is going around, Mr. Suplizio stated that the Chief was also on the line with him and the Sheetz lady, but was he really? I read nothing of what the Chief supposedly spoke, so I wonder if he was even in on the call. Perhaps it was just a ploy by Mr. Suplizio to pressure the lady. I would be very careful about implicating the Chief of Police. I have never heard a bad word about him, and as far as I can see, he has been very upstanding. Also, if someone is guilty of theft, I seriously doubt he is going to try to cover it up.

This has to be stopped! If this continues, and if they get involved with the gangs, our military could be outnumbered, then we would be like the other countries where these folks came from! We need a new President who puts a stop to this. And I know who can! That's why they are working so very hard to stop him! I don't think they will succeed. The American people are sick of what's happening. We need a hard nosed President who won't take crap from anyone.

I don't know about you all, but I have had enough of the Taylor Swift news at the football field. Who cares? I sure don't! I have nothing against her at all. I would just rather hear about football news! Players have been dating and having famous people in the box for years. Why all of a sudden is this a big deal? Come on, news people, get a life!

Sad to say, I think sometimes the people who do the most gambling are the ones who really don't have it. They think they are gonna make it big, and in the end they lose out. I could never see blowing your hard earned money on a chance. I have been to a few casinos in my time. I reserve an amount I can stand to lose. Which is small. And when it is gone, I'm done. Sometimes I fare well, and sometimes I don't, but no harm done to my wallet.

I'm kinda getting off topic, but don't we have enough smoke shops in the area? We also have way too many auto parts places, too! I hardly ever see anyone in the new O'Reilly place. The shooting place is needed, as we don't have much of that kind of thing around here. I really wish we had more clothing stores around here. I like TJ Maxx, but if I want something more, I have to go out of town.

If we let everyone do what they darn well please in public, we will have chaos and folks' safety will be at risk. That's why there has to be certain rules at ballgames, etc. We all should have freedom to do things, but if that freedom is a risk to others' well being, it needs to be restricted in certain places. In this case, an alligator could just up and decide to attack someone. Especially children who are small and may want to touch the animal. A wild animal is unpredictable. I hope if a Judge has to hear this, he or she has some common sense!

I hope they get a lot of takers. There are people needing things done, and can't find anyone because folks are inundated with their type of work right now. I have observed their work over the years, and the ones I have seen work hard, and know their craft well. They also work in adverse conditions. I have a lot of respect for them.

Yes, I agree with term limits and age limits. And I sure don't think they need to collect pensions. They seem to make enough that they should have saved and invested in enough that they don't need to collect a pension at my expense. Some of them have two and three residences, for pete's sakes!
