  1. Punxsy Animal Hospital used to have one monthly, but unfortunately the veterinarian passed away very unexpectedly in January 2024 at the age of 45(ish). You may want to try Allegheny Spay & Neuter in Woodland, or talk to someone with DuBois' Purrfect Paws--they have occasionally "sold" spots they had reserved for their fosters if they didn't have enough cats/kittens for those spots. I think there is also one in the Kittanning area as well: Frankie's Friends. Thanks for giving a critter a home.
  2. I was in a store yesterday and saw the Reese "football". The package depicts "laces" on the "football". Here we go again.
  3. The most simple answer to your question could simply be a dollar value of the item, not the size of the bank account of company that produces the item(s). *I'm pretty certain that the complainant "could" have carved the face pictured herself had it been THAT important to her.
  4. She seems.....entitled? Is that the right word here? I'm guessing she has experienced a ton of disappointment in her life. Side note: Bet she wears makeup, padded/pushup bras and spanx. Maybe some dude will sue her for false advertising in the future.
  5. thought it was a coyote? hogwash. "just a dog"? Shame on him. "found a dog hit by a car"? Liar "municipal building dumpster"? Most likely not intended for "government officials" to dispose of bodies of any sort, or for personal use. Which this clearly was in his case. He needs to be charged and he needs to forfeit his hunting privileges and equipment to do so---and be subjected to having his eyesight checked. Next he'll be shooting one of those adorable little cows because he thinks it's a deer.
  6. I see from social media posts that the big wind bag is in the city park. Ho Ho Ho
  7. I believe there may be some "willful blindness" at play.
  8. The way I understand this, auditors are only able to review what they are presented with. If those accounts were "secret" those statements were not given to auditors. It's been milling around and talked about in small circles, but there is a video available on multiple platforms called, "All the Queen's Horses" about a similar event in another small town USA. If I remember correctly she was able to steal more than $50 million before she was caught.
  9. truthfully, this was likely a very smart move. It adds a step in between the accused, who had a failed campaign as a Republican Senator, and the governing law enforcement. The state handling the charge with a sitting Democrat governor that was AG at the time a lot of this was uncovered could give some reason to claim it is all political. For what it's worth, it may be the reason it was uncovered to begin with--enemy digging in deep on enemy. It's also likely why some are still "Team Herm is innocent"--they think he's a victim. Imagine how much more he could have gotten his paws into had he won that election.
  10. *Edit for the above. For the record: the previous owner was also a good guy.
  11. don't forget about the new owner of the gun store by the library. I was in there recently--seems like a good guy. May be able to find you what you need and you'd be supporting a local small business.
  12. Has anyone else noticed the timeline on the events of November 9 and felt something was wrong? From the articles I have read: 9:55am, police are notified this man supposedly shot and killed his girlfriend. things run amok, Greeley is in a standoff of sorts with police and then flees, Greeley is apprehended at 11:35am and Greeley is transported to Penn Highlands where Greeley threatens more people. 1:35pm/1:53pm (depending on the source) Troopers return to the scene and find girlfriend with a gunshot wound to the head and a tire track on her remains. He shot her and ran her over??? Further stories indicate that girlfriend was pregnant. Why does it appear that no one bothered to look for this poor girl--what if she was still alive? Am I missing something, or was this article poorly written? Condolences to her family. What an awful situation.
  13. I'm no saying you're wrong about fraud in mail ballots; but some will say it has to do mainly with Philly, Pittsburgh and State College for the statewide stuff.
  14. I would have to believe that many were complicit in the crimes we know about--and likely benefited from it in one way or another. The better question is what ELSE has happened that the AG's office and Feds don't know about--yet--at least not for sure. I think that's why they are still poking around. Someone probably should have pled guilty early on instead of giving them extra time to dig deeper.
  15. Pretty sure that is for household items--not lawn debris.
  16. I can't seem to locate the schedule for leaf pickup this year anywhere. Can one of you kind souls assist with dates they are picking up? Thanks in advance.
  17. There is a series called "American Greed" that may be interested in this once the dust settles.
  18. https://www.visitclearfieldcounty.org/calendar_detail/1392 Per this calendar, October 31. As it should be. However--that seems to have a 2021 date on it!!!
  19. you think she's only a "6"? Wow. You must have really high standards. I would say a minimum solid "8".
  20. I would have to guess that the contract could be declared null and void in certain situations. I believe there are to be three elements to a contract. Offer/acceptance/consideration. The consideration would be the key here that could negate the contract. What is the party in question here providing that holds value to the city? As of now the only thing they are providing nothing but embarrassment. I'm sure a mind more brilliant than mine could find a loophole for "the contract". While I agree that citizens are innocent until proven guilty--but at what cost to the citizens? If that was you or I, we would be spending our nights inside of a cell. Not collecting a paycheck in the comfort of our own homes without the responsibility of earning said paycheck, while someone else pays for my legal representation.
  21. At least we are aware of her "financial interests"--unlike those that are currently in the spotlight. Ms. Jackson will not abuse her authority. I am 100% confident of that.
  22. So, you've "had enough of Taylor Swift", yet went on here to mention her? You are feeding the exact frenzy you claim to be against. I'm no Swiftie, but I'm happy to see two people who appear to be very happy. I hope they are "the one" for each other. We all need some "good" in the news.
  23. I guess one could follow that up with, name one person who is going to tell a kid to STOP washing dishes. She may have been trying to help the boyfriend? Help him finish up so they can leave? I think we need to sit back and let the truth come out before we string up the business and try to shut them down before they even open here. There is too much speculation at this point.
  24. Lou and Shelly Kiehlmeier purchased Xtreme Shooting Sports, not the gas station.
