disgruntled reacted to Pompeii in "Sound of Freedom" in DuBois
I went to watch it on Wednesday.
Very well done and its basically a wake-up call to protect our children.
In the US alone, close to 500,000 children go missing per year.

Definitely worth the few dollars to watch. Every adult needs to see this. We need to protect the innocent.

Is it stupidly or nads that drives these people?

And besides the inherent dangers of even attempting it there is no need to waste any resources to try and recover their “bodies”, because even though they haven’t specifically come and said it, there won’t be “bodies” to recover.
By the time it reached the Titanic wreckage, the Titan submersible would have been facing a pressure of between 375 and 400 atmospheres.
The water pressure at 12,500 feet (3,800 meters) below the surface at the site of the Titanic wreck is roughly 400 atmospheres or 6,000 pounds per square inch. The sudden change in pressure during an implosion would cause immediate trauma to the human body, essentially disintegrating it, in other words break it up into small parts. What’s left of them should be left in their internal grave with the other victims of the Titanic.

According to a Facebook post I saw last evening, the most likely next Mayor of DuBois, Pat Reasinger, has been tapped to fill the council seat vacated by Ms. Gabriel. Hopefully Mr. Reasinger can help to get the city steered back to some semblance of sanity soon and we won't have to wait until January for things to start making sense. It won't be an easy task, but hopefully it goes well.

While I do feel badly for the five people that lost their lives and for their families who have to endure the loss, can we take a minute to recognize that doing things willingly that contain an obscene amount of risk should not place others in peril? Then add in the financial burden of the cost for search and rescue.

If things were taken care of in the way they should have been, this would not be such a mess. One person taking care of everything..with no checks n balances by no others ...crazy!

The building alarm should have been reset also. How did Toni get in to find the money cache to begin with when this was already a criminal investigation?

Anyone who had any knowledge of this should resign immediately including Toni.

100% agree. That was the reason for the ellipsis. There isn't a special font (yet) for sarcasm.
The "it was a grant" excuse seems to be how they smooth things over with the general population that think it's "free money" when "they" spend money on waterfalls when we have waterlines that bust every year in the same place.

There's really no such thing as a grant, it's still taxpayer money.

He most likely would have had to seek the permission of his employer to pursue this avenue. Many employers need to make sure their employees aren't going to engage in any conflicts of interest--unlike our city government apparently. *Even those that aren't employed by a law firm. Employers don't want their name on the line when things implode.

He’s a corporate attorney. Doesn’t have individual clients and won’t be quitting his day job.

What is most disturbing is the vacant look on Joe's face when he sat down after his tumble.
It was a scary "nobody's home" look that really concerns a lot of people. Our enemies are viewing the same video and analyzing that stare.

I didn't think anyone thought that a DuBois city council position equated to a full time job-even in light of this mess that will need to be cleaned up.

Hmmm. Wonder if this is a chess move for a solicitor position.

A lot of people work remotely today...quality workers included. Remember Covid? As a matter of fact, North Central Regional Planning and Development was a part of a project that was advertising the region in large cities to entice remote workers to relocate here to live cheaply, enjoy the outdoors and build up our population since it is dropping...and build the tax base, too, I suppose. This isn't 1980 anymore.
