  1. A. Yes, it’s on posted videos of community days. They’re in the background. B. It did happen, police only do what they’re told to do. They were told to ignore as they should have. I am not against partying at all. Actually totally for it as I feel it brings a happy life to the weekend. If people wouldn’t end up fist fighting, I think the city should have ran a beer tent as that’s an east way to make revenue for a fundraiser, ask anyone who was involved with the St. Michaels Festival before they lost their volunteers too. However, she cannot come in and preach that she is going to change everything and make everyone accountable if she herself did not go through the proper channels. Practice what you preach.
  2. The most recent council didn't establish the act.
  3. Exactly my point. The new council has stressed transparency and straightening the corruption out. A permit is required for situations like this. I would be more than willing to say the proper channels were not taken. This carries a fine of up to $1000. All established by a previous city council.
  4. So you're saying it is legal for me to walk down the sidewalk during the Community Days Firemans Parade with a sixer and just drink away as I walk?
  5. Pennsylvania has an open container law, and the last time I checked, it wasn’t waived for community days.
  6. I guess councilwoman Jackson will have to find another reason to have a big beer party outside of her residence/business.

    Stadium

There are a handful of old classrooms that used to be used for vocational classes. The last time a room was used was for the food bank. I believe they are used simply used to store old furniture and trash. 2.2 million is a lot of money. My question on the use of it would be if it is going into the structure or not. I know the stadium has leaked for years before it was resealed thus may have compromised the integrity of the metal structure. I would assume there is asbestos that needs to be removed as well. If the majority of the 2.2 million is to address the health and safety of students and spectators, I am all for it. However, if its for frivolous spending, I believe some reconsideration needs to be done. The district turned down paying a bocce ball coach as a regular sports coach because it was too expensive and didn't have the money, but yet we have the money to consider this?
  8. We technically don't have much of a council until 11am today when the new members get sworn in.
  9. You own the phone, however you don't own the media at which the information is transmitted across. They are allowed to monitor their lines all they want, however they cannot monitor your specific device without a warrant.
  10. Correct, and so is Apple, Microsoft, etc. They are public corporations that are not funded by taxpayer dollars, thus they are donate their money where they wish.
  11. You're right, we have to see what the new council's agenda is first.
  12. Waste management can do whatever they want with their money as they are a private entity. As for what the city did with that money is not on them. I really doubt they have any other information to give on how the city used the money they gave back. I would also assume that many of the "brass" of the city had some knowings on what was going on. Personally, I feel the only way to move forward may be a clean sweep of all departments. Out with the old and in with the new. Everything from city manager, redevelopment, police, etc.

    Nasuti

Then who was it? These are the ones that are constantly bashing every single decision that is made and posting it all on social media. Chris is an educated and trained engineer. He could make so much more money out in private sector without all the drama and backlash.

    Nasuti

I’d assume the harassment from Clement, Jackson, & Lesky LLC finally wore him down. https://www.thecourierexpress.com/news/chris-nasuti-withdraws-name-to-be-considered-for-dubois-manager-position/article_af1e832c-4cd2-11ee-b094-efd8f96c4a88.html
  15. That’s why I filled up with premium.
  16. Yes, Joe Mitchell and Chris Nasuti was there all weekend.
  17. This well typed post just summed up DuBois. Stay classy!!!
  18. This has to be fake news. This doesn't happen in the township, only the city!!
  19. The biggest name they can afford this year is probably Dave Roman.
  20. Last I heard they are still looking for food booths to fill slots. They are usually full months ahead of the time.
  21. Any update on community days this year? I would assume a lot of the free stuff will be cut this year which would make it a pretty sparse event. Hopefully enough paying citizens show up to buy food from the vendors since their organizations depend on the revenue to stay alive.
  22. I’m a tax payer. I need to know that any elected official has the time to properly complete their civil duty.
  23. Never said it was a full time job. But if he’s a big time Pittsburgh attorney for a big corporation, they typically expect 50-60 hours a week and being on call 24/7.
  24. What corporation? A big Pittsburgh one? Do they know the responsibility he’s taking on and the amount of time it will take away from his current position?
  25. Yeah. Remote is saving a lot of COMPANIES money. However, imagine contacting this “big Pittsburgh attorney” in DuBois and setting up a meeting to discuss your deepest issues, just to find out that you get to sit in his living room with his kids running around. Now that’s confidential and professional!! Apparently he doesn’t like being an attorney much considering this is already the second public office he has tried to get on in the last couple years.
