I agree that we need teachers but if you knew the wage when you went to college and still went, how can one complain. If I didn’t like the wage I’m be paid I would seek other employment. I know this post won’t be popular with some but some are never happy.

On election night, I was half-watching Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s victory remarks when something quite extraordinary and encouraging caught my attention. DeSantis evoked Churchill’s “fighting on the beaches” speech, in which Churchill stirred the resolve and patriotism of the British people in anticipation of the invasion of their homeland by the Nazis. DeSantis, of course, was not warning against Nazism: he was warning against wokeism, which he was implicitly equating with Nazism. I had never heard a national political figure treat wokeism with such (deserved) gravity.
Before rephrasing Churchill, DeSantis said:

That's funny because I'm not a nut but I do ride my bike to work and keep the house at 65 degrees.

Nobody’s has proven to me yet that the earth isn’t in it’s natural cycle. Humans weren’t on the planet when the first ice age ended. 

The thing about schools accommodating this type of "furry" thing is simply ridiculous.  The kids are human beings and that is it.  They are there to get an education and that is it.  End of story.  And parents who let their kids do this sort of thing are messed up and really need to straighten up and straighten their kids up.  Back years ago, we didn't have this crap going on.  People actually worked for a living and didn't sit around with too much time on their hands on social media getting the wrong ideas.  They were out busting butt to support themselves and taught their kids the same!  If my kids would have tried this "furry" thing, they would have been set straight real quick.  That's the last we would have heard about it!

So, there is a lot of talk about kids identifying as cats or dogs “furries”, and this is hilarious. . Imagine if you can, that one of my boys told me they thought they were a cat? Sitting at the supper table son says: “Dad, I think I’m a cat! Dad: “No son, you’re a boy! “ My son: “No dad some of my friends at school identify as cats, they call themselves furries, and so do I !! It’s my right and you can’t do anything about it!” Dad: “OK!! “ My son: “Hey, where’s my supper? “ Dad: “Your supper is in the catfood bowl in the corner. Now get off the table you mangy cat!” My son: “What???” Dad: hits him with a broom, “get off the table furball!!” My son in the corner looking bewildered! Me to my wife : “Is that cat neutered”?? My wife: “I will make an appointment!! “ My son: “What??? “ Dad: “Your mother and I have decided we don’t want a house cat, so get out to the barn and hunt mice!” My son: “What???” Dad: brandishes broom, “NOW, to the barn you stupid cat!!” My son: “Dad, I think I’m a boy!” Dad: “I thought so, now sit down and eat your supper!!” Spay and neuter these animals. Stop them from reproducing. Today’s society has enough fruit loops already. End of story!

I do not watch sports either as I consider it a waste of time and it keeps my blood pressure low. Now watching local sports where my nephews, Grand-kids or even friends play then I will watch them because it is actually a sport and fun to watch compared to some overpriced man or women playing them.

Stanford's index says its goal is to eliminate 'many forms of harmful language'
Stanford University published an index of "harmful language" it plans to eliminate from the school’s websites and computer code, offering terms to be used as replacements.
The Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative, which was revealed in May, is a "multi-phase, multi-year project to address harmful language in IT at Stanford," according to the guide.
The guide says its goal is to eliminate "many forms of harmful language," including "racist, violent, and biased (e.g., disability bias, ethnic bias, ethnic slurs, gender bias, implicit bias, sexual bias) language" in Stanford websites and code. It added that it strives to educate people on the impact of words.
There are 10 "harmful language" sections outlined in the index: ableist, ageism, colonialism, culturally appropriative, gender-based, imprecise language, institutionalized racism, person-first, violent and additional considerations.
 
Among the words the university urges people to avoid in the imprecise language section is the term, "American." People are instead asked to use "U.S. Citizen" because "American" typically refers to "people from the United States only, thereby insinuating that the US is the most important country in the Americas." The Americas, the index notes, comprises 42 countries.
Other terms deemed harmful in this section include "abort," which offers the replacement of "cancel" or "end," because of moral concerns about abortion; "child prostitute" is replaced with a "child who has been trafficked," so the person is not defined by just one characteristic; and "Karen" is replaced with "demanding or entitled White woman."
Under the ableist section, the index urges people to use "accessible parking" instead of "handicap parking," "died by suicide" instead of "committed suicide" and "anonymous review" instead of "blind review." It also says people should use "unenlightened" as a replacement for "tone deaf," and a "person with a substance abuse disorder" as a replacement for "addict."

Thats good.  
Its kinda my point.  Im not a green freak or global alarmist nut.
BUT Im a conservative so I naturally "conserve".
We keep our heat around 67 at night, make little garbage, NEVER have extra lights on,  and respect the earth as God commanded.  
You can do all that without forcing an agenda that only costs the taxpayer.

Who says humans weren't here at the end of the Ice Age?  They may have been destroyed in the Flood, but they were probably here already as humanoids.
Yes, the earth is simply in a cycle of its own of warming and freezing.  We're not even a speck on that calendar but individuals have found a way to make money and garner power from it.

Over the years the cruising loop got shortened a lot.  In the early 60's we traveled Long Ave, Brady St/Boulevard/B-Line and back again.  One end was at Bailey's with the other at the rear of the old train station on Franklin St, now the Cherry Law offices.  Far fewer traffic lights to contend with in those days.  I'm not sure there was a traffic light from one end of the Boulevard to the other.  The drag races across there were interesting as well as those from Bailey's going either direction.  The interstate was just being built so the traffic on 255 was much lighter in those days.   Different times, maybe not all for the better.

The library?!?! That must have been the shortened "straight-line" route when cruising was starting to flatline.
Back in the early- to mid-80's, it was out of McDonald's with a right at Park, down to Shankel's and left up through town. Of course, that was when there were actually a few things, other than old-age homes, still in the downtown area.
