First pic that's what deer do. And the second pic is the dust coming out of the feeder. Its not fog. Sorry neither picture is scary or paranormal.

There is usually more than one way to do almost anything. There is no "my way or the highway" in gardening.  As Lyndsey pointed out sometimes it is a big rock.  Personally, I usually start with the simplest form and work my way up the scale.
I grow the variegated form of Japanese knotweed,  Fallopia japonica 'Varigata", as an ornamental. It is a very pretty plant. I keep it under control by growing it in the shade. It doesn't grow as big or as rambunctious.
If no other method works you could try eating it.
    Japanese Knotweed Crumble
Prepare a knotweed compote (similar to stewed rhubarb) by cutting tender spring
knotweed shoots, no longer than about 12"-18" (the thicker, the better; leaves removed)
into inch chunks. Steam till soft -- about 10 minutes. Add sweetener to taste -- perhaps
1/4 c. sugar per 2-3 cups of steamed knotweed -- and a squeeze of lemon juice. A drop of
red food coloring will give it a very appetizing look.
Mix equal parts flour and oatmeal, say 1/2 c.each, with a bit of cinnamon, some sugar and
a dash of salt. Cut in butter, 1/3 stick at minimum and more if you like a richer crumble.
Butter a baking dish. Put in the knotweed, cover with crumble mixture and bake in a
medium hot oven, 350 degrees, for a half hour or so. As you notice, measurements, times
and temperatures are variable. This basic technique is flexible and adaptable – just like
knotweed! Have fun, use up our invasives, and get something for nothing

The only way to get rid of an invasive plant that multiplies by rhizomes is to cut it back and put a tarp over it. It must have no holes in it and preferably be black. The heat helps kill the rhizomes. Spray any remaining foliage with glyphosate weed killer and watch the edges of the tarp for more plants creeping out. Kill them! Eventually the rhizomes will die. Whatever you do don't let it flower.

    Taiwan's 8-hour rainbow declared world's longest-lasting by Guinness
By Ben Hooper  |  March 16, 2018 at 12:03 PM .tw_if iframe{vertical-align: bottom;}         March 16 (UPI) -- Guinness World Records is officially recognizing a rainbow recorded by a university in Taiwan as the longest-lasting on record, appearing for 8 hours, 58 minutes.
The record-keeping organization announced a ceremony is being planned for Saturday at Taipei's Chinese Culture University, where professors in the Department of Atmospheric Science documented the Nov. 30, 2017, rainbow.

One of the professors, Chou Kun-hsuan, said the rainbow was visible from 6:57 a.m. until 3:55 p.m., smashing the record set by a 1994 rainbow in Wetherby, England, that lasted for 6 hours.
"It was amazing... It felt like a gift from the sky... It's so rare!" Chou told the BBC in December, when the university announced it was submitting evidence of the rainbow to Guinness.
The ceremony Saturday is expected to be attended by CCU professors and students as well as members of the Guinness World Records committee, Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau chief, the Taipei City Tourism Bureau director and the director of the Yangming Mountain National Park Service.                                                                                                                                                                                                              SEE VIDEO ;  https://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2018/03/16/Taiwans-8-hour-rainbow-declared-worlds-longest-lasting-by-Guinness/1211521215903/?utm_source=sec&utm_campaign=sl&utm_medium=11

I saw pet steps at Kmart Saturday when I was there. I can't remember how much they were. They were in the Isle with the pet food. Seemed sturdy and it was only 3 steps indo believe. I was looking at them for my weiner dog. He has issues with steps too.
