Evelyn M. (Manko) Jarosz of Elk Haven Nursing Home, 785 Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, PA died September 20, 2021. She was born on May 27, 1932 in Lackawanna, NY, daughter of the late Stephen and Stephanie (Toporek) Manko. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Dr, Robert John Jarosz, DDS who died May 12, 2021. She is survived by 3 children Linda J. Thorwart (Steven) of St. Marys, PA, Robert J. Jarosz, Jr. (Lynette) of Lackawanna, NY and David L. Jarosz (LuAnne) of Lancaster, NY. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her sister Lucille (Robert) Northrop of LasCruces, NM. Evelyn was a graduate of the Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1953. She was past president of Medical Arts Auxiliary, and a member of the Women’s Dental Guild and its bowling team. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11 AM – 12 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12 PM from the funeral home with Father Edward Walk officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hamburg, NY. Flowers gratefully declined. Ronald J. Suplizio, age 78 of Largo, FL, formerly of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL. Born on July 11, 1942 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late James J. and Helen (Hoskavich) Suplizio. He married Diane F. (Sundermier) Suplizio. She preceded him in death on December 9, 2004. Ron retired as an Occupational Specialist with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. He was a life member of the Friendship Hose Company #2, and was a life member and past Commander of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17. Ron is survived by 2 sons; (Kevin Konopko & his wife Debra of Houston, TX and Kerry Ripley & his wife Christina of Pittsburgh, PA), 1 sister (Marsha McCurdy & her husband James of Brockway, PA), 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Due to our current circumstances, there will be a private family visitation. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the church. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery. Dorothy (Timko) Miller, age 95 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on December 29, 1924 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen & Martha (Hook) Timko. On September 28, 1946 she married Glenn M. Miller. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2002. Dorothy had worked in the office of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church for over 13 years. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, a former member of the Altar Rosary Society and the DuBois Country Club. Dorothy is survived by her son (Glenn “Chris” Miller and his wife Carol of Verona, PA) two grandchildren (Ian Miller & his wife Carolina and Chelsea Devereaux & her husband Thomas). She was preceded in death by her sister (Evelyn Bertiaux) and her brother (Larry Timko, Sr.). Dorothy’s family would like to express their gratitude to her friends and the staff at Christ the King Manor. There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 10 AM from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
