The Clarion Area Chamber of Business & Industry is pleased to announce the Clarion Hospital "I Love Clarion" Celebration is scheduled for Tuesday, July 3 at the Clarion University Memorial Stadium. Gates open at 5:00pm. Local country singer Coston Cross will kicks things off from 5pm to 7pm. Coston prides himself on paving his own path in country music and staying true to his country roots. He pulls influences from his life experiences to make his original music stand out and to give the audience the truth of country music.
Also beginning at 5:00pm, there will be local businesses and vendors selling food and refreshments. Some of the food items include Walking Tacos, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Kettle Corn and Frozen Custard.
Then at 7:00p.m., back by popular demand will be The Wrangler Band. They will perform a variety of music from country hits to classic rock.
The highlight of the celebration will be a fantastic fireworks display. The display will take place at dusk and will be presented by Pyrotecnico.
In an effort to support our current military, a collection table accepting donations will be available. We kindly ask you to support our troops by donating supplies and writing "thank you" cards to those who serve. Monetary donations to assist with shipping costs to the troops are also greatly appreciated.
This year we will also be collecting non-perishable food items for Clarion County Community Bank FoodStock. FoodStock is coming up on its 20th Anniversary and the program has been quite successful. Last year we collected over 5,000 items to help fill the local Clarion County food pantries and were also able to purchase turkeys for Thanksgiving and hams for Christmas and Easter for many families in need throughout Clarion County. This year our goal is to double that and collect over 10,000 items as well as the holiday meals. If everyone were to bring just one non-perishable food item with them when you come celebrate with us, we could already be well on our way to that goal.
The day will be a great time to celebrate our nation's independence with your friends, family, and community. We hope to see you there!
