DuBOIS - HUGS, the Helping Understand Grief Stages, for Kids and Teens will begin at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Hosted by PH DuBois Hospice Bereavement Services for grades kindergarten through grade 12, this grief support program will continue for six consecutiveTuesday evenings through Oct. 28.
These bereavement programs provide a safe and supportive atmosphere where children and teens, who have experienced the death of a loved one, can share their experiences and feelings. The facilitators will assist children and teens in learning ways to deal with the grieving process through discussions, role playing, art and literature.
There is no fee for participation as this is funded by the Gray Foundation. However, participants do need to register by calling 375-3300.
