Robert Dean “R.D.” Carney, Jr., age 50 of Reynoldsville, PA died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on August 5, 1970, in Dubois, PA, he was the son of the late Robert D. and Ann M. (Brosky) Carney Sr.

R.D. had worked at Goodwill Industries in DuBois, PA. He loved to go to the Pulaski Club and loved to listen to the Sunday Morning Polka Party. He also enjoyed collecting cigars.RD was always celebrating life. He compared life to a Polish wedding, a birthday or a holiday event. He danced to polka music, he sang polka songs or children’s favorites, he smoked his toy plastic cigar, enjoyed eating and held valuable memories of happiness in his heart. He had great memories of weddings that played over and over in his head. If you were celebrating your birthday, then he was celebrating his. Months were known by events and holidays. If Valentine's day came and left; he would take down his calendar and remove the month of February to celebrate Easter in March or April. Robert knew how to get what he wanted. He knew who to ask (mostly his sister Robynn) and was persistent, in many ways. He loved to embrace love. He was never shy to express his love to you. His outbursts of laughter and wittiness completed his Beautiful character. If  learned anything from “RD” it is to live for today, celebrate holidays and events, sing your favorite songs, eat your favorite foods, find a partner to dance with, create an environment of wittiness and laughter, be persistent in making life enjoyable and never be shy to say, “I Love You!”

He is survived by 2 sisters (Robin Camuso and her husband Steve of DuBois, PA, and Renee Hill and her husband Barry of New Port Richey, FL) and 1 brother (R. Scott Carney and his wife Gina of York, PA).)

Due to our current circumstances there will be no public visitation and a private family service will be held.

Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Pentz Run Youth Center, 319 Daly Street, DuBois, PA 15801.
