Donald E. Beam, age 81 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his home.

 

Born on July 18, 1940 in Luthersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel R. and Beulah (Dush) Beam.

 

On November 20, 1981 he married Martha O. (Drum) Beam. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2015.

 

Don worked many years for Womeldorf Incorporated, Mid State Amusement and the Independent Political and Social Club.

 

He was a life member of the Independent Political and Social Club, the Sandy Hose Company #1 Firemen’s Club and the Olympic Athletic Club. He was also a member of the Pulaski Club, the former Swedish American Club, and the DuBois VFW.

 

Don is survived by 8 children: (Donald R. Beam and fiancé Stacey Marshall of DuBois, PA, Thomas E. Beam of DuBois, PA, Joseph B. Spellen, Sr. and his spouse, Joseph Tegano of Penfield, PA, James T. Spellen, Sr. of DuBois, PA, Mary “Cathy” Dotts and her husband, Terry of Reynoldsville, PA, Sharon L. Wells and her husband, Edward of DuBois, PA, John E. Spellen and wife Susan of DuBois, PA and Sarah A. Dillman and her husband, James of Naples, FL,) numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, one brother (John Beam of DuBois, PA) and two sisters (Gloria Gross and her husband Wayne of Charlotte, NC and Karen Henry and her husband Mark of Rockton, PA).

 

He was also preceded in death by one daughter (Terry Taylor) and one sister (Louise Kessler).

 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 4 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home &

Crematorium, Inc.

 

A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 10 AM with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.

 

The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by going to www.facebook.com/baronickfuneralhome.

 

Burial will take place in Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
