Administrators Pompeii Posted December 24, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 24, 2021 Elizabeth “Betty” Bigar, Age 92 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on December 10, 1929 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Matthew & Agnes (Rebich) Matusick. She was married to Joseph Bigar, Sr. He preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Betty enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, (Joseph Bigar, Jr. of DuBois, PA), her granddaughters, (Nicole Orban & her husband Philip of Mooresville, NC and Kayla Bigar Miller & her husband Kurt of King George, VA), four great granddaughters (Sloane, Reilly, Evan, and Isla), and by a sister, (Jane “Bunny” Astori of Brockway, PA). She was preceded in death by her daughter in law (Charlotte “Lottie” Bigar), 6 sisters (Madeline Fauls, Helen Matusick, Catherine Bodnar, Anna Wilson, Barbara Davis, & Mary Colville) and 5 brothers (George, Stephen, Joseph, Thomas, & Francis Matusick). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 11:45 am – 12:45 pm at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1 pm from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
