Samuel E. Moore, Sr., age 81 of Rockton, PA died Monday, February 7, 2022 at his home.


Born on September 26, 1940 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late John and Virginia (McNaughton) Moore.


On July 9, 1960 he married his wife of 61 years Irene H. (Hauck) Moore. She survives.


Sam had worked for 25 years at the Brockway Glass Company as a Design Engineer of Glass. He then became a partner in Pro Short Stamping, Inc. and worked there until his retirement.


He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in DuBois, PA.


Sam was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fly fishing and hunting. He was an artist, a musician that could play a variety of instruments and especially enjoyed singing at church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved the Lord and his family.


He is survived by his children (Samuel E. Moore, Jr. and his wife Ginger of Rockton, PA, and Daniel C. Moore and his wife Lori of Ludlow, PA), 4 grandchildren (Nicole Moore & Jess, David Moore, Meghan Moore & Kiri and Nathan Moore & his wife Kate), 3 great grandchildren (Dylan, Hudson & Aaliyah), 1 sister (Laura Soltyka of DuBois, PA) and 2 brothers (Joseph Zawacki & wife Cathy of DuBois, PA and Jan “Butch” Zawacki & his wife Roni of Baltimore, MD).


Sam was preceded in death by 4 brothers (John, William, Louis & Timothy Moore).


Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.


A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Orndorff officiating.
