Administrators Pompeii Posted February 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 21, 2022 Donald S. Tracy, age 78 of DuBois, PA, died Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his home. Born on January 22, 1944 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Stanley and Bernice (Cieslak) Tracy. On June 12, 1982, he married Laura L. “Laurie” (Droll) Tracy. She survives. Don retired as a Gulf Stream 4 Pilot for C.S. May out of Latrobe, PA. Previous to that, he was the Chief Pilot for Figgie International out of Cleveland, OH for over 20 years. He was an avid, Lake Erie walleye fisherman and was a well-known pigeon fancier. He bred, raised and raced homing pigeons and was a member of the Latrobe International Racing Club. Above all, the joy of his life was his family. Don is survived by his children (Michelle Herring and her husband James of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Daryl Tracy of Columbus, OH, David Tracy and his wife Abby of DuBois, PA and Eric Tracy and his wife Jessica of Troutville, PA), 11 grandchildren (Michael, Samantha, Drew, Dylan, Lexi, Colton, Weston, Brantley, Jayden, Madden, Oakley and granddaughter Emersyn on the way). He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Lou (Frankine) Tracy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 2 PM – 4PM and 6 PM – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating. Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
