Administrators Pompeii Posted February 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2022 Ruth N. Kruckow, age 91 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on September 8, 1930 in White Sulphur Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Amy (Wells) Richards. On September 18, 1950 she married Joseph L. Kruckow. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2017. Ruth had been employed at the former Gray Corporation for 22 years and in 1992 she retired from the Courier Express. She had been the Girl Scout Leader of Troop 600 for 12 years. Ruth loved bird watching, horse racing, and watching women’s college basketball. Ruth is survived by 4 children (Joann Frederick and her husband “Flip”, Connie Erdely, and Joseph Kruckow II and his wife JoAnn all of DuBois, PA and Nancy Lorance and her husband Jim of Copperas Cove, TX), a son in law (Robert Butters of Virginia Beach, VA), 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, She was preceded in death by 2 daughters (Trish Kruckow and Mary Butters) Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Clint Phillips officiating. The service can be viewed by going to www.facebook.com/baronickfuneralhome Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Girl Scouts of Western PA DuBois Service Unit, 400 West Garfield Ave., DuBois, PA 151801.
