Administrators Pompeii Posted March 1, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 1, 2022 Barbara J. Nestor, Age 87 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on June 9, 1934 in Falls Creek, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest & Vera (Powell) Porrin. In June of 1953, she married her husband of husband of 61 years, John R. Nestor. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2014. Barbara retired from Brockway Glass after 43 years of service. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and enjoyed putting Jigsaw puzzles together, playing bingo and doing word search puzzles. She is survived by her daughter (Karen Uplinger & her husband Michael of Brookville, PA), 2 granddaughters (Jamie Boyer & her husband Justin of Brookville, PA and Ashley Snyder & her husband Michael of Clarington, PA) and 5 great- grandchildren (Hannah, Ian, Elijah, Levi & Noah). She was preceded in death by her son (Ernest Nestor). Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 1PM from the funeral home with Pastor Amy Godshall Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
