Patricia Lou “Pat” Martinson, age 84 of DuBois, PA died Monday, March 28, 2022 at her home.


Born on June 25, 1937 in Flint, MI, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Agnes (Perry) Bush.


On May 19, 1956 she married her husband of 65 years, Larry E. Martinson. He survives.


Over the years Pat had worked as a nurse at the DuBois Regional Medical Center, the Free Medical Clinic and as a school nurse at the DuBois Area Middle School, which was the job she loved the most.


She was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church where she active in church affairs. Pat loved to golf and enjoyed bowling with her friends. Above all, she loved being with her family and following their many activities and helping others. She and Larry fostered 16 children over the years.


Pat is survived by her children (Colleen “Corky” Pallitto of Pittsburgh, PA, Julie Matusky of Sykesville, PA, Kris Minns & her husband Gregory of High Point, NC, Kevin Martinson & his wife Lisa of Morristown, TN and Bryon Martinson and his wife Tonya of Charleston, SC), 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 sister (Kay Bellgowan of Lansing, MI).


She was preceded in death by 1 sister (Joann Helms), and 2 grandchildren.


Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 2 – 4 PM & 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 10 AM from St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church with Father Edward Walk as celebrant.


Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.


Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children Attn: Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394 and / or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
