Administrators Pompeii Posted May 2, 2022 Administrators Share Posted May 2, 2022 Donna J. Rafferty, age 90 of DuBois, PA died Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born February 28, 1932 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester W. & Myrtle W. (Spencer) Rafferty. Donna retired after over 40 years of service as a flight attendant. After a brief career in banking, she began working for Western Airlines based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and finished her career with Delta Airlines out of San Francisco, California. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Donna loved her cats and loved traveling. Her job afforded her the opportunity to visit places all over the world. She is survived by a brother (Buck Rafferty of DuBois, PA), a sister (Joan “Jan” Schoch of New Smyrna Beach, FL) as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 4 sisters (Nellie Gelnett, Shirley Rafferty, Lorena Smith, and Loretta Connor). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, PA. Memorial donations can be placed with the Gateway Humane Society, P.O. Box 678, Falls Creek, PA 15840 and/or Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 16 Denton Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
