Lisa Ann Graffius Blasdell (age 59)

Lisa Ann Graffius Blasdell, age 59 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

 

Born on September 23, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Rachel R. Farbo Graffius.

 

Lisa grew up in Punxsutawney, PA and graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 1981. She went on to graduate from Clarion University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1985 and earned a Master of Education Degree in 1990.

 

On April 18, 1998, Lisa married Donald P. Blasdell at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in DuBois. They shared 24 wonderful years of marriage. Lisa’s greatest joy was their daughter Cietta Elise Blasdell, born on March 26, 2006. Lisa was an exceptional mother and loved CeCe more than anything.

 

Lisa began her teaching career at DuBois Central Catholic in 1985 and had continued in education at various levels and administration at DuBois Central Catholic ever since. Lisa loved the students and faculty as family. Her infectious laugh and positive words inspired many. She loved every moment of her 37  years at DuBois Central Catholic.

 

Lisa was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She had a beautiful  voice and sang for many years in choir and at many weddings.

 

Lisa’s family, her faith and her students were most important in her life. She was a devoted wife and mother, a caring and exceptional teacher, a loving sister and the fun and adventurous aunt to her two nieces who lovingly called her Aunt Titi.

 

Along with her husband and daughter, Lisa is also survived by  one sister (Francene Thomas and her husband Tim), four nieces (Meagan and Taylor Thomas and Kristen and Kathryn  Rusnak), sister-in-law (Denise Rusnak) and brother-in-law (John Blasdell and his wife Diane).

 

She was preceded in death by one brother-in-law (John Rusnak).

 

Visitation will be  held on Monday, November 7, 2022 from  2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 11 AM from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Father Edward Walk as celebrant.

 

Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.
