Reitz, Ted L..jpg
Ted L. Reitz, age 84 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Christ The King Manor.

Born on November 14, 1938 in Brookville, PA, he was the son of the late Paul G. and Dorothy F. (Feldman) Reitz.

On December 30, 1971 he married his wife of 50 years, Addie L. (Hayman) Reitz. She survives. Along with his wife, Ted is survived by his children; Tracie Young and her husband Bill of Charlotte, SC, Ginger Reed and her husband Brian of Creekside, PA, Vickie Watters and her husband Tom of Indiana, PA, Michael Reitz and Ann Reitz Krieger both of League City, TX, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one sister; Nancy Micks and her husband John of DuBois, PA

Ted was born into a family of hard workers.  His parents instilled a tremendous work ethic in him that carried him throughout his life.  Over his 42-year career, he successfully worked in many facets of the grocery business founded by his family, Riverside Markets.  Though he ended his career as an executive with Penn Traffic, his favorite job was driving trucks.

Ted Reitz was an exemplary man.  His personal accomplishments were many, but it was his strength of character, integrity, work ethic, willingness to help others, spirited personality, and twinkle in his eye that are the attributes for which he will surely be remembered.  Ted was a man of few words, letting his actions speak for him.  He was truly a decent human being, and will be dearly missed. He loved golf, cards, spending time with friends and family, business, travel, keeping an immaculate lawn, and helping others. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and involved in many aspects of the community.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 10 AM from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
