Guido, age 88 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on May 27, 1934 in Tyler, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Nancy (Cataldi) Guido. On September 30, 1961, he married his wife of 61 years, Margaret A. (DeLullo) Guido. She survives. Tony was a veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with honors and went on to graduate from the Dickinson School of Law with honors. Tony was an attorney for over 60 years. He was a partner in the Law Firm of Hanak, Taladay and Guido. Prior to that, he was in private practice. He was a member of the State of Pennsylvania Bar Association as well as the Bar in Clearfield, Jefferson and Elk Counties. Tony was the former Campaign Chairman and President of the DuBois Area United Way, former Board Member and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the DuBois Hospital, former Advisory Board Member of Vines Country Club, Fort Myers, FL, former member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Dubois Country Club and a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion. Along with his wife, Tony is survived by four children; John A. Guido and his wife Kelly of Flint Hill, VA, James P. Guido and his wife Dianne of Jupiter, FL, Mary Meredith and her husband Paul of DuBois, PA, and Margie Guido and her husband John Hawkins of Alexandria, VA, five grandchildren; Hannah, Weston, Liam, Erin and Renee and one sister Joann Segalla of Weedville, PA. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 4 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 10 AM from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery. Although flowers are appreciated, the family strongly suggests that memorial contributions be kept locally and made to a charity of the donor’s choice in the DuBois area.
