Administrators Pompeii Posted March 24, 2023 Administrators Share Posted March 24, 2023 David C. Shaffer, age 72 of Rockton, PA died Friday, March 17, 2023 at his home. Born on August 18, 1950 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Vernon and E. Vaughn (Bailey) Shaffer. David retired from Union Township in August of 2020 after many years of service. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid gun and motorcycle collector. David is survived by one sister, (Linda Olewnick and her husband Steve of DuBois, PA), two nieces (Errin Wischhusen and her husband Trevor, and their children Eva and Devan and Jessica McKee and her husband Ben and their son Killian). There will be no public visitation and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will take place in Rockton Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
